Lipids

The chemistry and biochemistry of lipids.

Lipids are a group of structural different molecules which are unsoluble in water (hydrophobic) and soluble in fat (lipophilic) and which occure in living cells as structural components of cell membranes, as energy storage or as signaling molecules.
