Nuclear Chemistry

Nuclear chemistry is an interdisciplinary scientific branch that encompasses the use of chemical techniques to the solution of problems in nuclear physics.

Like radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry is a branch of chemistry that deals with radioactive substances. In particular, it deals with the technical implementation of analyzes and syntheses, taking into account radiation protection. Areas of application include basic research, the industrial production of radioactive substances, medical diagnostics and therapy (nuclear medicine), geochemistry (isotope geochemistry) and environmental analysis.
